Practice the historical art of the coptic bind, where intricate hand-sewing is revealed on the open spine of a beautiful, hardcover journal. We will make a casebound (hard cover) journal from scratch, including folding and sewing signatures, wrapping your cover in decorative papers, and assembling the final journal. All materials are supplied but if you have a decorative paper you’d prefer to use for your covers (scrapbooking paper works great!) feel free to bring it along.
